Take a moment with the card drawn for you.

A card has been chosen for you at random. Step back from any one session, and let the question and the image open up how you're coaching more broadly.

How to sit with your card

  1. Find some unhurried time, away from client work.

  2. Let the question and the image work on you. There's no need to answer straight away.

  3. What does it stir? A pattern, a feeling, something about how you're being as a coach.

  4. Put down whatever comes, without editing or judging it.

An invitation to journal

Writing slows thinking down enough to notice what sits underneath it. A notebook and a pen are all you need; nothing on this page is saved or sent anywhere.

Come back to what you wrote in a few days, or bring it to supervision.

You might begin with:

  • What I notice about my coaching lately is…
  • A pattern I keep seeing is…
  • What I might be avoiding looking at is…
  • Where I feel most alive in my work is…
  • What I'd like to bring to supervision is…

Going further

Reflection goes deeper with someone alongside you.

Supervision is a space to take what the cards stir and explore it together, with care and without judgement.
