The approach

You are already complete as a coach.

Supervision isn't about fixing what's broken or filling gaps. It's about becoming aware of how you're being as a coach, what habit obscures, and what wants to emerge in your practice.

From the doing of coaching to the being of it

Every coach deserves, and needs, a space to explore their practice with curiosity, honesty and depth. Not because accrediting bodies require it, but because coaching is demanding work that needs ongoing reflection, support and development.

Supervision is where we step back from the doing, and explore the being.

  • How are you showing up with your clients?
  • What patterns are emerging?
  • What's alive in you as you coach?
  • What's hidden, or unseen?

Not just what you're doing, but how you're being with your clients

  • Your embodied presence: the quality of attention you bring
  • Moods and emotions, and how they shape what becomes possible
  • The meanings you make about your coaching and your clients
  • The relationships and systems at play
  • Past, present and future, and how they show up in your work
  • Whether you're fully present, or caught elsewhere

These aren't a framework. They're the background: how I listen, and what I might invite you to notice. The foreground is always your practice, your questions, your development.

Six principles

  1. Trust and safety are our foundation

Supervision asks for vulnerability: sharing experiences, exploring mistakes, admitting uncertainty. That's only possible with trust. I keep a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can bring your whole experience of coaching, including what's difficult.

  2. Curiosity enables our learning

We meet your practice with curiosity, not criticism. Feeling stuck, or challenged by a client, is an invitation to explore, not evidence of failure. Curiosity opens possibilities; judgement closes them.

  3. We are equal partners

I bring experience and a supervisory lens; you are the expert in your own practice. Together we shape the focus, structure and agreements that serve your growth.

  4. We explore systems and connections

Coaching doesn't happen in isolation. Your clients live within organisational, family and cultural systems, and so do you. We explore how they shape what's possible, what's hard and what's emerging.

  5. We stay in the here and now

Rather than analysing the past or planning the future, we attend to what's present. What are you noticing? What's happening in your body as you describe this client? Presence is the ground for awareness.

  6. I bring who I am as a coach

My own challenges, learning and development inform how I supervise. I'm not someone who has it all figured out, but a fellow coach, alongside you, still learning.
